AP PHYSICS 2
Sample of Handouts

Due to a lack of instructors, fewer than 5% of the high schools offer the course AP Physics 2. Although its breadth reveals its difficulties, it also indicates its great applications in college studies and in our everyday life. The field of AP Physics 2 covers thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, optics, electrodynamics and magnetism, and modern physics. Thermodynamics discusses heat and temperature and heat engine. Fluid mechanics studies effects such as the buoyant force on a submerged object and the dynamic lift on an airplane wing. It also studies relationships between the pressure, density, and velocity at every point in a fluid. Optics studies the nature of light and why scientists view light as having a dual nature: particle and wave. Concepts underlying the theory of modern physics seem to contradict our common sense. The theory provides us with a new and deeper view of physical laws.
